The Playground Basketball Gym Selects Octasound

A practice and game franchise.

In June 2020 the playground approached Octasound for a sound system. The design required full range audio with deep bass over the main basketball court with filler speakers in the practice areas. The audio controls had to be intuitive and easy to operate for their guests and employees. Upon a demonstration for audio quality and the end-user interface, Octasound was selected to be their sound system solution. The Playground is extremely happy with their new audio system.

The Equipment.

Main Court

• 1 x RAMX2 Microphone and Aux mixer installed in our SMLV-1-LD locking case
• 2 x SP800A speakers for crystal clear Mids and Highs.
• 1 x OS2X12 Subwoofer for deep sensation bass.

Behind the Court

• 1 x RASX4 source selector – CH1 – Media Player, Ch2 – Mixers (RABX2 and RAMX2), CH3 – TV’s, CH4 – Spare
• 1 x RABX2 Bluetooth and Aux Mixer Custom pairing ID “The Playground“
• 1 x RUSBX2 Low voltage convenient USB charger.
• 1 x Blank plate for future devices
• All the above installed in 2 x SMLV-2 surface mount cases.

Secure Location

• Crown XTI 2002 Amplifier – CH1 – 2 x SP800A, CH2 – 1 OS2X12
  Programmed internal crossover with maximum levels preset. Front panel locked out for tamper proof install.
• 1 x RAASX4 2 x 50 Watt amplifier to power 4 ceiling speakers in the filler locations.
• 1 x RP6 with blank plates for future controls / expansion.
• 1 x RS6 shelf to house the RASX4 source selector main circuit board.
• 1 x Furman power conditioner.
• 1 x Middle Antlantic EWR rack 10 RU
